Posted Monday, Feb. 26, 2001, at 11:47 AM ETAmong Chatterbox's many responsibilities is to troll the Web for objets trouvés. A reader has kindly forwarded the Web site dedicated to Denise Rich's songwriting career. You can hear several of her songs, though not sung by her. As congressional investigators learned when she took the Fifth, Denise Rich doesn't sing.
[Clarification, 11:25 PDT: Apparently she used to sing. Click here to listen to a snippet unearthed by the NPR quiz program Wait, Wait Don't Tell Me. Chatterbox is sorry to report that, unbeknownst to this column, Wait, Wait Don't Tell Me made the same "sing" pun. Thanks to reader Anand Rajaraman for flagging this.]
