Found Object: Chinese Press Explains EP-3 Crew Release
Posted Wednesday, April 11, 2001, at 12:30 PM ETToday's objet trouvé is a Chinese version of a popular Slate feature, the "Explainer" FAQ. The Chinese FAQ, which concerns the impending release of the American spy plane crew, appeared today on the English-language version of the People's Daily Web site. In an admirable labor-saving innovation, the Chinese "Explainer" takes both its questions and its answers from the Chinese foreign ministry, obviating the need to hire a journalist.
